Hanwha Vision has introduced its new PTZ cameras designed for use in extreme conditions.

The cameras are available in three different models: 2MP, 4MP, and 8MP, and are available in two color options. 500m infrared illumination, IP66 and IP68 housings, wind resistance of 257km/h (160 mph), an operating temperature range of -50°C to +60°C, and the ability to operate at relative humidity between 0 and 100% RH demonstrate the cameras' performance in challenging conditions.

Hanwha Vision, a global leader in video surveillance solutions, has announced the launch of its T AI Ruggedized PTZ Cameras, purpose-built to deliver uninterrupted monitoring in the harshest environments. Designed to withstand extreme weather and challenging conditions, these cameras combine unparalleled durability with AI-powered intelligence to provide reliable and intelligent surveillance for critical infrastructure, transportation, ports, and urban environments.

Engineered for Extreme Environments

The T AI Ruggedized PTZ Cameras are engineered to perform where other cameras cannot. With an operating temperature range of -50°C to +60°C, and proven resilience in a Category 5 hurricane-level winds (up to 257km/h), they ensure continuous monitoring in snow, heavy rain, high heat, or severe storms.

Anti-icing technology, including a window defroster and pan heater, guarantees a clear field of view and full PTZ mobility in freezing conditions. Meanwhile, advanced *OIS and DIS stabilization deliver shake-free clarity under high winds or strong vibrations, ensuring video remains steady even in the harshest conditions.

Certified with IP66/IP68 dust and water resistance and IK10 (Housing/Body) impact protection, as well as meeting MIL-STD-810H military standards, the camera delivers mission-critical reliability in any scenario. Whether exposed to saltwater spray at busy ports or enduring dust and sand in industrial zones, the T AI Ruggedized PTZ cameras stand as a dependable solution built to last.

At a glance
Built to endure the extreme conditions, the T AI Ruggedized PTZ Cameras withstand temperatures from -50°C to +60°C, hurricane-force winds up to 257 km/h, and meet MIL-STD-810H standards for mission-critical reliability.
Powered by AI intelligence, they deliver precise object classification, seamless auto-tracking, and Dynamic Privacy Masking for smarter, more efficient monitoring in any environment.

The cameras are available in the following formats and features:

  1. 2MP 55X Optical Zoom Model (Black or White)
  2. 4MP 30X Optical Zoom Model (Black or White)
  3. 8MP 30X Optical Zoom Model (Black or White)

Artificial intelligence-powered object detection and classification are some of the camera's analytical functions. Slip and fall detection are standard. Person, face, vehicle, and license plate detection are the camera's standard functions.

For individuals, AI classification is performed based on the following criteria:

  • Upper/Lower Clothing Color, Gender, Bag

For vehicles, AI classification is performed based on the following criteria:

  • Type (car, bus, truck, motorcycle, bicycle), Color

For faces, AI classification is performed based on the following criteria:

  • Age, Gender, Face Mask, and Glasses

Object detection, Virtual Line (Passing/Direction), Motion detection, Slip and Fall detection, Virtual Area (Loitering/Intrusion/Exit/Appearance/Disappearance), and Automatic Tracking are other analyses the camera can perform.

Device certification (Hanwha Vision Root CA) and Secure Storage (Secure element with FIPS 140-3 level 3/CC EAL6+ certified) are some of the cybersecurity measures implemented by SBOM cameras.
