• Multi-Category AI Object Search: Search across person, face, vehicle, license plate, Wisenet Road AI, user-defined objects, AI pack, and barcode categories. A lost pallet's barcode can be traced across every camera that captured it within seconds.
• Similarity Search (Beta): Person-based similarity search lets you feed a reference photo and pull up every camera appearance of that individual — useful for checking whether a suspicious customer at one store location has a history at other branches in a retail chain.
• Broad Camera Control: Heater, wiper, spinning dry, zoom, focus, auto focus, backlight, IR, day/night mode, WiseStream, and auto tracking are all controllable directly from Genetec. Field staff no longer need to walk out to a camera in snowfall just to trigger the wiper.
• IP Audio Event Linking: Events from SPA-series speakers and the SPS-A100M audio beacon can trigger actions in Security Center. A motion detection event can automatically play a warning announcement through a linked speaker — a practical deterrent for cash desks or perimeter security.
• Thermal Metadata and Spot Temperature Display: Thermal cameras can share temperature metadata alongside real-image metadata, with spot temperature readouts supported. That makes it possible to track a machine's overheating on a production line in real time through the video feed itself.
• Manageable Database Structure: The default database path is C:\ProgramData\HanwhaVisionPlugin, with a default maximum size of 500 GB (up to 1 EB) and a default auto-cleanup cycle of 30 days, adjustable up to 9999 days. IT teams running large-scale deployments can tailor storage planning to their own needs.

Note also that cameras connected over IPv6 do not support AI analytics event search — IPv4 infrastructure is recommended.
