The SMT-3231PV is a 32-inch camera-integrated monitor (PVM) built for locations where a single device needs to both display and capture footage — a checkout counter, a security guard booth, or a front-desk reception point. A 2MP AI-enabled camera is built directly into the monitor housing, so there's no separate camera to mount and no extra cabling to run between camera and screen. At a retail counter or bank teller window, one unit lets you see the customer and show that same live feed on the display.

Key Features

• PIP/PBP dual view: The built-in camera feed and an HDMI#1 source can be shown side-by-side or picture-in-picture on the same screen. You can watch the customer in front of the register while simultaneously monitoring a POS screen or a second camera feed.
• 120dB WDR with an F1.6 lens: Faces stay recognizable even against strong backlight, such as a storefront window or glass entrance door. A 0.03 Lux minimum illumination rating keeps the image usable well into low-light evening hours.
• Face and object analytics: The camera detects person/face classification, virtual line crossing, loitering/intrusion in defined zones, and enter/exit events on its own. A person lingering too long at a counter or entering a restricted zone can be flagged automatically.
• People counting, queue management, heatmap: Track daily footfall at a store entrance, queue density at checkout, and which zones get the most traffic — data you can use directly for staffing and layout decisions.
• 400 cd/m² brightness and 178°/178° viewing angle: The screen stays readable in bright lobbies or entrance areas, and staff viewing from an angle still get a clear picture.
• 256GB Micro SD edge storage with alarm I/O: Recording continues locally if the network drops, and an alarm input from a button or sensor can trigger an output to a siren or door lock.

This unit fits sites that need one device doing several jobs at once: retail chains monitoring checkout counters with visitor counting, logistics warehouses tracking staff and vehicle movement at dock doors, and residential or commercial site management booths handling entrance control. The HDMI#2 input lets you connect a second source and switch between feeds as needed. UL listing and NDAA compliance make it a fit for government and enterprise procurement specs that require them.

Power comes via DC24V or HPoE 802.3bt, so a single cable can carry both power and data, simplifying installation. Operating range is 0°C to +40°C, so it's built for indoor use — not intended for outdoor or unheated cold-storage environments. ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M and SUNAPI support allow integration with existing VMS platforms.
