The TNO-C4040T is a VGA resolution thermal box camera built for wide open areas where detection has to work regardless of light. Port yards, border lines, power plant perimeters, agricultural land and large logistics facility entry points are where this camera is meant to operate. Where visible-light cameras struggle in darkness, fog or smoke, this unit converts temperature differences into an image, picking out people, vehicles and vessels.

• Sharp thermal contrast at ≤16mK NETD: Combined with F1.0 aperture and 17µm pixel size, even scenes with very small temperature differences — such as a person standing at a foggy perimeter fence at night — produce a clear, distinguishable outline.
• AI-based Person/Vehicle/Vessel classification: The system raises alarms only for defined object classes, not every movement, filtering out false triggers from swaying vegetation or bird flocks.
• Long-range detection over wide areas: Per Johnson's criteria, person detection reaches 420 m and vehicle detection reaches 1,074 m, allowing a single camera to cover a long stretch of perimeter.
• IP66, IP67, IK10 and NEMA4X protection: Rated against rain, dust, high-pressure water jets and impact, it can be mounted on a dock pole or open-field mast without a protective housing.
• -40°C to +60°C operating range: Image quality holds up in freezing border regions in winter and in extreme heat in desert sites during summer.
• WiseStream III smart compression: Using AI-based object detection, empty areas of the frame are compressed more aggressively, easing storage and bandwidth load on the recording server.
