The SPI-BBM1 is a blue LED illumination module built for the TNS-7000M camera and SLM-5M12 lens combination used in license plate recognition (BCR) applications. It supports image quality at points where plates need to be read clearly at night or in low light, such as highway entry barriers, logistics facility gates, and parking lot entry/exit lanes. The 455nm blue LED light is designed to reduce reflection off the plate surface, improving character readability.

Illumination is provided by 16 LEDs, and once the camera and front cover are assembled together, the module reaches IP66/IP67 protection rating — allowing it to keep operating without issue at outdoor entry points exposed to rain, dust, and high humidity.

• 3MP BCR camera compatibility: Designed to work with the TNS-7000M camera and SLM-5M12 lens, so it integrates into the plate recognition system without additional compatibility testing.
• 455nm blue LEDs, 16 units: Reduces glare off the plate surface and increases contrast, making plate characters easier to read even on vehicles passing quickly — for example at a logistics facility's truck entrance.
• 43° FWHM / 70° at 10% angle: The light beam is both focused and wide enough to evenly illuminate the plate area at single-lane checkpoints.
• IP66/IP67 protection: Once the camera and front cover are assembled, this rating lets outdoor barrier systems keep running under rain and dust without interruption.
• -40°C to +55°C operating range: Performance doesn't drop on cold mornings or hot afternoons, which matters for open-air parking lots and border/customs checkpoints.
• 24 VDC ±10% input, 6.9W consumption: Low power draw means it can be integrated without adding load to the existing barrier or camera power line.

This module is used by site management teams in vehicle access control systems, logistics warehouses at loading gates, factories at staff and vehicle entrances, and parking operators at entry/exit booths to improve plate recognition accuracy. It's particularly useful at facilities running night shifts, where standard white lighting either bothers drivers or causes excessive glare on the plate. At 101.2 x 53.8 x 78.2 mm and 200 grams, it mounts without adding significant weight to the existing camera housing.
